Racers,
Due to the weather, I am making several changes to this weekend's schedule. Please read and share around.
Tomorrow:
The on-track portion of the day is not going to be able to be held. Registration fees will be reduced to $5. IF after the event the weather allows the track to be open for practice, anyone who registered and paid for Karting 101 will be able to practice for no additional charge, anyone who didn't will need to pay $10 for practice (standard rate).
Registration for Karting 101 will open at 9:00AM. No pit pass will be required for Saturday's event.
Karting 101 Class will begin under the pavilion at 10:30AM.Registration for Sunday's Race #1 will be available Saturday from 12-3pm, in addition to the normal times on Sunday. I will be selling pit passes for Sunday's race and doing pre-tech under the pavilion during this time. This is a great chance to get ahead of the lines and should let you sleep in a little more Sunday AM. This is open to ANYONE, not just karting 101 participants.
Sunday:
We will most likely reorder some things on Sunday to let the temp get a little higher before taking to the track. Driver's meeting will likely be held immediately after registration concludes, before warm-ups. All decisions on Sunday's schedule will be made that day, but I wanted to let people know we are looking at it and aware, it'll be cool in the morning. The good news is it looks like it'll be sunny!
Looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend at G&J Kartway. If you have questions, reach out to me.
Thanks,
Aaron - OVKA President
