Karting 101 & Charity Race

ATTENTION NEW KART RACERS:

Online Registration for Karting 101 and the Annual OVKA Charity Race will open this week!

What is Karting 101?

Karting 101 is our annual OVKA orientation day for new kart racers to introduce them the sport of kart racing , walk through the Ohio Valley Karting Association race day procedures, and give new and returning members some time on-track to prepare for the upcoming racing season.

If you are a new kart owner, this is the perfect event to begin your racing career. If you’re curious about kart racing, but don’t yet own a kart, this is the perfect opportunity to visit the track and learn more about how to get you or your child involved with racing by talking with our new and returning members.

Karting 101 FAQ:

Do I need to own a kart to attend Karting 101?

Everyone is welcome to attend the Karting 101 classroom session and learn about kart racing with OVKA. However, OVKA does not rent out karts for our events, so only individuals who own racing karts may take part in on-track sessions.

How much is Karting 101?

Entry to G&J Kartway is $10 cash at the front gate. Registration for the on-track sessions is $25 for members and $30 for non-members.

When can I practice at G&J Kartway?

G&J Kartway is open Daily for practice from 9am, for just $20 per kart.

What is the Charity Race?

The OVKA Charity Race in an Annual non-points race at G&J Kartway. This year we are hosting it the day after Karting 101 to get our new racers some more structured on-track time before the season starts.
